EMT-140 Plate Reverb Audio Test
After supplying and fitting the plate we did a quick test with a recording by Evelyn Glennie and at one point there is a comparison between the EMT-140 and the Altiverb software version. We will make a short documentary concerning the EMT-140 at a later date. Audio on this is from the camera mic only. We will provide some properly recorded samples later on when our client has finished his album.

Pye Germanium Transistor 4 Channel Mic Amp Audio Mixer Unit TYPE 843803 Circa 1962 As Used By The BBC
This unit sounds extremely good on the 50ohm vintage ribbon microphones, the transformers are all Gardners we think & the ppm meter is an Ernest Turner, the 771847 input transformers are 600 ohm, others were available see circuit diagram. The 2G-309 transistors were all replaced with RCA 2613 type by the previous owners, ex BBC stock, it came from the original Dr Who studio so I was told by the seller on a Merton Abbey Mills car boot sale in 1996 sold to me for £20.
There is a short video describing this unit coming up soon.

Vortexion MXR Type 2M X2 Mic-Amp
This model is a 4 channel mic or line level valve mixer using twin EF86 tubes for each channel. It has a stereo/mono switch which has been disengaged. No EQ on this model, sounds classic. We have just had the coupling cap replaced so it should sound a lot better. We were getting pot noise & gain drift issues. We'll fully overhaul this in the near future and document further work with a short video.
